Learn about tikanga and create your own ancestral artwork using paint made with natural pigments, ground by you.
Local artist Tayla Hartemink will explore temporary exhibition, Te Ohonga, and how pūrakau passes down through the generations. Tamariki will learn traditional techniques for creating pigments using items found in nature, which they will then use to create their artwork for their whakapapa.
Please note: Parents will be signing in their tamariki at Wellington Museum and picking them up at Capital E.
